Jen Dalitz is a social commentator, business consultant, author and speaker on topics relating to leadership, managing change and bringing authenticity to business. She specializes in helping organisations and individuals to get real and get results.
As the founder and SheEO™ of sphinxx – a community dedicated to advancing women as leaders – Jen is also an expert on the issues women face in forging their careers. She is the author of ‘Little Wins for Working Women’.
At just 17 years of age, Jen Dalitz left home and the fold of her small town community and headed for the big smoke. With nothing but big ideas and a burning ambition to make something of her life, she began a 15-year career in finance and business consulting that spanned diverse industries, international borders and a host of Fortune 500 companies. Jen worked for companies including National Australia Bank, BT Financial Group and Arthur Andersen, before beginning her own consultancy with a client list including Commonwealth Bank, The University of Sydney, Insurance Australia Group, MLC and a number of top Australian and international organisations.
Jen lives and breathes resilience and thrives on challenge – the more difficult the circumstances, the more she lights up. Applying the work ethic and experiences of her country upbringing, Jen developed a practical style of management and leadership that delivered results. She soon became known for her ability to achieve transformational change and execute on complex strategies – on time and on budget. Revered as a leader, Jen has led teams of 200 people; managed projects with $50m budgets; and been responsible for assets up to $9bn in value.
A country girl at heart Jen returned to her roots in 2005, buying a working farm in New South Wales with her husband, Ric. She now splits her time between speaking and consulting in the city, and managing herds of cattle, donkeys, alpacas and sheep and the hoards of wildlife that inhabit “Spring Creek”. You’ll enjoy the parallels she draws between her lessons of the land and the corporate environment she once called home!
Jen is a CPA and has a Masters of Business Administration (Executive) from the AGSM and a Bachelor of Arts (Accountancy). Yet her broad life experience means Jen can mix it with everyone from the most elite business people to the back office.
With an honest and straight-up style, Jen takes serious issues and creates entertaining and memorable presentations that anyone can relate to, and she comfortably commands the room as MC. Jen will tailor a presentation topic for your conference, workshop or meeting – or create something special for you from scratch!
