Jas Rawlinson is an award-winning speaker, author, and coach who empowers women and changemakers to become the author of their own life. She is also a passionate anti-domestic violence survivor-advocate and the creator of coercive control program Red Flags 101.
With a background in journalism, psychology, and advocacy, Jas has impacted hundreds of thousands of lives, and speaks at conferences, women’s events, schools and workplaces. Some of her clients include TEDx, Lifeline, Serco, and America's National Centre on Sexual Exploitation. She is also an ‘Australian of the Year’ nominee, and was awarded the 2022 Champion of Change for her work in human trafficking prevention advocacy.
As a survivor of domestic violence and trauma, Jas shares her inspirational journey of rewriting her life from shame to strength, and the three catalysts that helped her rise from rock bottom to resilient leader. With her signature blend of empathy and edge, she empowers audiences to let go of what was never theirs to carry, so they, too, can own their story and live out loud.
Her expertise has taken her from investigating crime networks to working alongside anti-trafficking teams in Southeast Asia—and even swimming with sharks on reality TV. Above all, Jas is a passionate believer that trauma does not have to be a life sentence.
"Own your story—all of it. Because when you share it with others, you don't just heal yourself, you change the world one story at a time."
Jas created a safe, supportive space while tackling complex topics, and her Q&A helped open the door for deeper dialogue with our students, enabling us to hear the challenges they deal with in their everyday lives. A reminder of the power of storytelling to spark awareness, reflection, and change.
Powerful, courageous, inspiring. With a potent mix of personal experience, narrative and research, Jas delivered a session that educated and empowered our team.
Jas is so inspiring and to have her as our keynote speaker is amazing.
