Mike Symonds didn’t start his career in boardrooms or corporate training rooms.
He started it in the wilderness.
Working with Outward Bound Australia, Mike helped groups push beyond what they believed they were capable of. Navigating remote terrain and demanding expeditions taught him something powerful:
When people connect to a shared purpose, support each other, and feel part of something meaningful… extraordinary things happen.
But there’s another side to Mike’s story.
Before working with organisations on culture and leadership, he spent time as a commercial radio announcer and actor, and even dabbled in stand-up comedy. Those experiences taught him something equally important:
People learn more, connect faster and remember longer when the experience is engaging and fun.
Bringing these worlds together, Mike, together with his wife Sarsha, was the pioneer of corporate team building in Australia, creating a range of fun, interactive team experiences now delivered around the world.
Today, he helps leaders ‘Breathe Life’ into their team culture.
His philosophy is simple:

What a fantastic session. Mike is a great presenter who was able to take us out of our comfort zone without us even realising. It was lots of fun, a great way to connect with the whole organisation, and I now have loads of great tools to help me engage my team.
