With both hands on the steering wheel and one foot firmly on the accelerator, motorsport champion Molly Taylor is living life in the fast lane – and showing no desire to hit the brakes anytime soon.
She was raised in a motorsport family, and her mother is four-time Australian Rally Champion co-driver Coral Taylor, so it was perhaps inevitable Molly would develop an interest in rallying. While still at school, she was offered a car to compete in some local motorkhanas. She finished ninth outright and first in class – and a high-octane career was born.
Molly is a true pioneer having won a number of accolades in motorsport including the Australian Rally Championship, European Ladies Championship and the Peter Brock Medal.
Highlights of her career include being a selected in the Pirelli Star Driver World Rally Championship program, the first female driver to achieve a podium position in the Junior World Rally Championship, finishing third in the illustrious Rally Finland. She was also the inaugural winner (World Champion) of the Extreme E Series (the world’s first gender equal motorsport series) and the first Australian woman to ever drive the challenging Dakar Rally (twice).
In 2020, Molly won a legion of new fans through her appearance on Seven Network’s SAS Australia, where her grit made her a viewer favourite.
It’s safe to say that Molly Taylor has some stories to tell. Her epic adventures and daredevil stunts are the stuff of legends and in these presentations, she tells them candidly with audiences clamouring for more.
Molly was a guest speaker for our Women in Auto event, which was an event encouraging greater female participation in the Automotive industry. Molly shared her life experiences within the Auto industry and provided the audience with meaningful and entertaining insights. Molly delivered her message in a very authentic and humble way and left the room wanting more, given her endearing manner. I would strongly recommend Molly to present in all environments.
