Stephanie Bendixsen, also known by her gamertag ‘Hex’, is an Australian television presenter and video game content creator – who got her start writing and presenting for ABC TV’s Good Game and its companion show for younger gamers, Good Game: Spawn Point.
With Stephanie as co-host, Good Game grew larger and more influential every year – expanding its presence within the gaming community to public events and live stage shows with Good Game: Live. She has since become a well-known presence in gaming, championing the positive representation of women in video games as well as their place in the industry.
Steph is an experienced speaker at events and loves to discuss everything from the evolution of video game narrative to the necessity for strong, compelling female representation in games.
Previous TV credits include Foxtel’s Thrones 360, National Geographic’s Only in Australia and Network Ten’s ’Ultimate Classroom’. Bendixsen also hosts a variety of Red Bull Productions which included 'Red Bull Wrap Up' - a video game quiz show and Red Bull Billy Cart. In addition to her on-screen work, she released her first book for readers aged 8+ with Scholastic Australia.
Today, along with content creation and video game event coverage, Stephanie is presenting on Back Pocket - a video game variety show with a dedicated community of passionate gamers. She accepts the term ‘geek’ as a compliment.
