As a professional sportsperson, Paul Dumbrell has excelled in both the on and off track requirements for the multi-million dollar sponsors. This includes media activities, event hosting, brand ambassadorships and constant public scrutiny in a high powered, ruthless business of professional sport. 

He has represented Castrol Racing, Jack Daniels Racing, SuperCheap Auto Racing, Holden Racing Team and Ford Performance Racing.

Now formally retired from professional motorsport, the skills Paul gained over 15 years in persistence, attitude, fitness and teamwork are key elements of his current CEO role - leading an organisation into the future.

In 2002, at just 20 years of age, Paul purchased one of the first national Boost Juice franchises in Hawthorn, Victoria.

As franchisee his role was to run the business from top to bottom providing a solid foundation in people management, cashflow management, buying and franchising. In three years as a Boost Juice franchisee he expanded to two sites and sold out at a substantial profit to become founding partner of First Media.

Here he developed the automotive arm of the business with a wide range of clients including many iconic Australian brands such as Holden. Not only was he founding director and lead partner for all things Automotive, he continued as shareholder whilst concurrently holding his role as National Marketing Director at Autobarn.

In December 2009 he sold out of the business and moved into his current CEO position within the Automotive Brands Group, taking in both the Autobarn retail franchise network of 100 stores and the Autopro retail member network of 121 stores, together producing in excess of AUD$400m in sales revenue.

His role encompasses the overall leadership and growth of the brands throughout Australia whilst delivering improved margin growth for all stakeholders. The skills gained in professional sport at an international level have been used well to develop an outstanding fresh approach to the role of Chief Executive.

The implementation of Paul’s proven successful strategies have directly resulted in growth to the revenue and profit for stakeholders, defying retail statistics during recent tough economic times.

An energetic and results focused Chief Executive with strong negotiation, management and marketing skills, Paul Dumbrell has a long term vision for his career to continue the entrepreneurial spirit and drive into new ventures.
