Nadine Champion is a rare combination- eloquent speaker, inspiring teacher, motivating trainer and champion fighter. She is passionate about sharing her lessons learned from a life of martial arts training to help others improve their own lives.
She gave the closing speech “10 Seconds of Courage: Life Lessons from a Fighter” at the TEDx Sydney 2015 at the Sydney Opera House.
Nadine is passionate about helping people to be their best- personally, professionally or physically. She believes everyone is fighting for something in their lives and the key to winning these battles originates in the mind.
Her martial arts journey began 30 years ago with Karate, Tae kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu & MMA. With a successful competitive career spanning two decades she holds titles in both Thai boxing and Kickboxing, and remains undefeated in all her fighting disciplines. Awarded her Black Belt by legendary World Kickboxing Champion Benny “the Jet” Urquidez, Nadine teaches his Ukidokan system and shares the many inspiring lessons and philosophies gained from a life of learning with a true martial arts Master.
Nadine has 20 years of teaching experience, with a unique philosophy of integrating external training (physical) with internal training (psychological, emotional, spiritual) to create positive growth. At the internal level, she is known for transforming lives both personally and professionally through teaching practical skills for character development. On an external level, Nadine is renowned for the successful weight loss results of her clients and she empowers those who train with her to achieve their goals.
In 2013 Nadine won the biggest fight of her life against the cancer Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. During 6 months of chemo and radiation treatment which finished in early 2014, Nadine lived all of her inner strength principles. She gained priceless insight into what it feels like to have your physical body not match your mind and a new empathy for how difficult exercise can be.
In full remission, and with Doctors declaring her cured, she has a contagious zest for life and is grateful for each day.
