Wendy Dean has always been independent, growing up in Central Queensland, attending Boarding School at 11 and joining the Airforce at 17. Her positive nature and attitude saw her not only survive but thrive after beating Breast Cancer in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Wendy has a natural love of storytelling. Motivating and connecting with others by sharing her varied stories of survival and resilience.
Living fearlessly by the words 'Wake up, Get up' Wendy is a relatable single mum of two who easily engages with people from all walks of life.
Proactive and always looking for that silver lining her positive outlook in the face of adversity shows what a force of a woman she is.
At the end of 2020 Wendy started her Podcast called The Survivor Storyteller where she chats with people who have gone through breast cancer, and those around them who are also affected by it, as well as those that have helped her and others get through their illness and challenges in life.
Wendy Dean was the keynote presentation for a couple of our regional events. She has a great attitude, along with a huge smile, bounds of energy and she delivered an enlightened session titled: ‘wake up, get up’. This pink clad pocket rocket that owned the room, provided an honest, funny, and very personal outline of her life, struggles, highlights, triumphs and challenges. Our delegates were entranced and motivated.
