Penelope is a multi-degree qualified professional with over 25 years’ experience in strategic and operational management, program, project and risk management, and safety, governance and compliance. Penelope demonstrates people management, organisational culture and communications skills across a wide demographic and range of disciplines, including time in the Australian Defence Force.

Over the last twenty years, Penelope has served as a Maritime Warfare Officer, Naval Police Investigator and Military Executive in the Royal Australian Navy. She has undertaken strategic level appointments in project, safety, culture and risk and, having recently completed her studies in Nuclear Regulatory Law, she is currently providing Reserve service to the Australian Submarine Agency on nuclear safeguards, seaworthiness and governance. She is also providing specialist investigative services to the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.

Penelope is currently the Chief Operations Officer and Principal Consultant of a national consultancy providing technical advisory and specialist engineering services, and strategy, planning and execution support to the government and military sectors.

Penelope co-founded and Chairs Women in Power – an organisation created to advance and empower women in industry. She is also a sought-after speaker, author, board member and national Ambassador for various domestic violence, mental health, defence and veteran-related organisations.

Penelope is a true leader of people and operations and is recognised as an innovator with unsurpassed drive and passion. She continues to receive accolades for her vision and entrepreneurship, including winning the Queensland Telstra Business Women's Award for Social Enterprise and the Women in Defence Award for People and Culture.
