Initially starting her career as a school teacher she entered the corporate world (over 15 years ago) as Executive Director of the National Heart Foundation in the Northern Territory followed by 8 years in a global marketing role with the Accor Hotel Group. She has also been a finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards for her contributions to tourism and volunteer work on the Gold Coast.
