Dan is a firm believer that Excellence is worth pursuing, constant progress is an in built human condition.
There is not a single human alive that does not wish to be better-no one wants to be ‘average’. Dan takes this principle into all that he does, partnering all manner of organisations in helping them produce a culture of high performance and accountability. He believes in creating a challenging and robust working environments where people can achieve their life aspirations at the individual level, and in doing so drive team performance and the bottom line.
His personal success cannot be questioned. His life has been about high performance, first as an athlete competing in 4 Olympic Games in the sport of kayaking , Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. He has Olympic Silver and Bronze medals and been World Champion in his chosen sport.
Post his Olympic career Dan has been a leader and administrator for some of the world’s most elite sporting organisations. Leading culture change and intervention programs for the Australian Institute of Sport, driving $90 million strategic initiatives program for the International Rugby Board and a high performance manager and consultant to NRL and AFL clubs as well as international sporting organisations such as Manchester United, Manchester City Football Academies, and Japanese Rugby.
In building and shaping the journey Excellence requires of us, he is driven by one compelling question:
“How do we take the best attributes of each and every individual and combine them within an environment that will reward ALL stakeholders - the individual, the team, the customer and the bottom line?"
Dan has a Bachelor of Business through Griffith University on the Gold Coast and has a Diploma of Coaching along with understanding life through the school of hard knocks. He gives back to the community through his 28 years of service to the Australian Surf Life Saving Association.
