A cornerstone of Embark's functionality, he invented patent-pending IoT technology named Nearcast, letting consumers engage with out-of-home environments in ground-breaking new ways. Jamie uses his experience to help organisations look to the horizon of emerging trends, and create their future, to effectively implement these kinds of strategies and technologies.
Formerly Head of UX at the Australian Football League, Jamie worked on UI, connected stadium visioning, and spearheaded the organisation's first virtual reality R&D initiatives. In his younger years, Jamie played for Australia's best esports team and is now an owner of Australia's first esports bar, partnering with organisations such as the Adelaide Crows and Australian Red Cross for social good causes.
Designing not only interfaces, technologies, and businesses, but culture as well, Jamie presents often at events both local and abroad, such as TechEd and Xerocon, on topics including the future of work, change as opportunity, and how to cultivate culture for innovation in government and enterprise.
Looking to the future can be a daunting, and at times overwhelming prospect. But with ease, expertise and clarity, Jamie brings light to terrain, helping people understand the mountains, roadblocks and rivers of opportunity.
