She is the executive producer and narrator of the sports documentary Making It, which headlined the 2023-24 Women’s Adventure Film Tour.

Her unique combination of skills and experience stems from more than a decade working in the media across multiple platforms and spheres. After graduating with honours from the University of NSW with a double degree in media (majoring in journalism) and law, she began her career as a legal and court reporter. She interviewed Prime Ministers, Premiers, CEOs, and celebrities, and served as Associate Editor of the award-winning LSJ magazine. During this time, she hosted conferences nationally and internationally, conducted C-suite interviews, and became a trusted voice in legal reporting, investigations, analysis, and feature writing.

Her passion for sport, combined with her background as a high school and college athlete, naturally steered her into the world of sports broadcasting and reporting. Today, alongside TV commentary and broadcast hosting, she is a recognised authority in sport, contributing to publications including The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, The Australian, The Guardian Australia, Forbes Australia, Women’s Golf Magazine, Tracks Magazine, Snowsbest.com, Mountainwatch, Chillfactor, and ABC Sport.

She is also a board member of the Kennedy Foundation for Journalism and co-founder of Australia’s Equal Pay for Equal Play campaign. In 2022, she was nominated for the Walkley Foundation’s June Andrews Award for Women’s Leadership in Media for her work advancing women athletes and women in sport. She has been a finalist for Young Journalist of the Year and Journalist of the Year at the Mumbrella Publish Awards across six years and was named Young Journalist of the Year by the NSW Council for Civil Liberties in 2021.

She trained in Advanced TV and Radio presenting at the Australian Television, Film and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney. Her combination of broadcast-level presentation skills, strong organisation, approachability, and experience interviewing a diverse range of personalities has made her a sought-after host for live events, panel discussions, and awards nights.

Testimonials

We were fortunate enough for Kate to host our GIS Global Summit in Sydney in January 2025. Kate was an exceptional host for the day, engaging our students throughout and bringing out incredible content from our sports industry guest speakers. Kate was fantastic to work with ahead of the event, preparing diligently and making the whole process straightforward from our perspective. Kate is a warm and energetic host and the ultimate professional. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Kate on our events.

Global Institute Of Sport

We were lucky enough to have Kate commentate and host the inaugural Australian National Championships of Flag Football in May 2024, where her professional presentation and preparation took the broadcast to new heights. We received many compliments on her commentary there and later, in Finland at the World Championships, which is a testament to her skills and warm, enthusiastic personality. Kate clearly goes above and beyond in her preparation. She's confident, commands attention, engages crowds, and is a skilful interviewer - all the while being easy to work with. Her immaculate presentation and thorough preparation consistently exceed expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Kate to any organisation seeking a top-tier presenter, commentator, host, or event MC.
