She started out in banking before making the jump to journalism as head researcher for the Money show, and was named editor of Money magazine in 2006.
A regular finance expert on The Today Show, A Current Affair and Sky Business News and on radio stations around Australia, Effie specialises in helping Aussies get ahead through personal finance tips and consumer banking awareness.
Effie is the author of a children’s financial literacy book, The Great $20 Adventure.
Her latest book, From Converse to Louboutins: A Real Girl’s Guide To Money, is a call to action for women to take control of their finances.
Effie has a degree in Economics from the University of Queensland, and is the proud mother of two reformed spenders.
