Rachael Hocking is a Warlpiri woman from the Northern Territory. She is a journalist, curator, and presenter who is passionate about sharing First Nations stories. She currently co-manages an internship for aspiring journalists and storytellers.

Rachael's work can be found across Black media, from the national Indigenous newspaper Koori Mail to NITV. She is a director on the board of the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma in the Asia Pacific, and Common Ground.

Rachael Hocking has worked with the Biennale of Sydney across three events in 2020 and 2021 as a presenter, panel host, and moderator. Her work has been outstanding: she is a highly engaging speaker who is able to connect with diverse panelists and audiences. Rachel has demonstrated dedication and commitment to understanding our organisational values, the backgrounds, and personalities of the panelists she is hosting as well as navigating complex conversations on topics ranging from First Nations dialogues, science, contemporary art, curatorship, climate and sustainability, inspiration, leadership and more.
