Beau Miles, author of The Backyard Adventurer (2021) and Bad River (Aug 2024), wants to grow better pumpkins. In the meantime, he runs around the place, paddles here and there, and makes things from other people's junk.

Beau films everything as he goes because he considered himself a filmmaker once, but is now very much a YouTuber.  His PhD on expeditionary sea kayaking is a great door stop, and parenting his two small girls are, he hates to admit, the hardest adventure he’s ever had.

Beau talks about his oddball, adventurous, curious and hard-by-choice life, which includes a huge range of topics he thinks about while doing, always doing.
