Jamen Wilcox, a hands on practitioner in the field of Occupational Health and Safety for over 15 years, manages all facets of Safety Management Systems including work related injuries and delivering training for both large and small businesses.
Jamen has worked for WorkCover Queensland in both Underwriting and Case Management and has worked extensively with the department since that time. He helps employers with WorkCover matters - reducing premiums through developing better injury management systems and reviewing the businesses current industry classification and EBR calculations.
Jamen has also assisted in the development, implementation and monitoring of Safety Management Systems for government organisations and small business while employed with Queensland Health managing his own WHS consultancy business and working with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland as a work place health and safety consultant.
Prior to his involvement with the chamber movement, Jamen worked in a variety of indigenous communities throughout the Cape, Torres Straits and regional Australia developing and delivering training in a range of fields including accredited safety and rehabilitation courses.
Jamen’s experience in WHS, Workplace Rehabilitation and Training has assisted many organisations, businesses and local councils develop and implement tailor made WHS and Rehabilitation systems that meet their legislative requirements efficiently and effectively.
